So what is this day? Can we not just ask for forgiveness and that should be enough?<\/p>\n
Why should All of the Children of Jacob do this Day of Atonement?<\/p>\n
There seems to be misunderstandings regarding the day and the purpose.<\/p>\n
Before we get started with this session, I highly recommend that, if you have not read the post The LAW According to the Hand Of Moses.<\/p>\n Leviticus 16<\/a>:<\/p>\n 29\u00a0And it shall be a statute for ever unto you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and shall do no manner of work, the home-born, or the stranger that sojourneth among you. Leviticus 23<\/a>:<\/p>\n 26\u00a0And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: Numbers 29:<\/a><\/p>\n 7\u00a0And on the tenth day of this seventh month ye shall have a holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls; ye shall do no manner of work; So, what we have, is a day where \u201cto make atonement for the children of Israel because of all their sins once in the year\u201d(from Leviticus 16:34), should be without SIN.<\/p>\n This is getting interesting for me. We actually have a day set aside, during the seventh month(the Sabbath Month) where every soul that is in the People Of Ishrael\/Israel<\/a> have atoned for their sins. Is this important for something? Everyone, on a single day, are commanded by the LORD Our GOD to return unto HIM. One day, we are forced to do so.<\/p>\n There is always a perfect reason and purpose to what the LORD tells us to do. This is no different. In fact, this one, you may agree(later) that this is needed for the World. I am getting ahead of myself.<\/p>\n Their sins once a year above is an important clue regarding the purpose I see. We know that Israel\u2019s name means \u201cStruggles with GOD\u201d and when we remove the dot above the W in the Hebrew language, it maybe a Shin, creating ISHrael, meaning Upright, Righteous or governed by GOD. (Read ISHRAEL?<\/a>) In the case being made here, both Israel and Ishrael are included in the Day Of Atonement, because one or two people cannot do what is required. All the Children of Jacob must do something, and this is a starting place, for it to happen.<\/p>\n In the Covenant at Sinai<\/strong>, Exodus 23<\/a>:\u201d29\u00a0For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted<\/em> in that same day, he shall be cut off from his people<\/strong>.\u201d And Leviticus 23<\/a>:\u201d29\u00a0For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted<\/em> in that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.<\/strong> 30\u00a0And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any manner of work in that same day, that soul will I destroy from among his people<\/span>.\u201d I see that the ALMIGHTY declares a terrible consequence for Not Doing This. The Soul is cut-off and destroyed, from among the Nation.<\/p>\n You have free will. You can choose The LORD or NOT. This is about Your Soul<\/a>, which you may or may not think you have. But, why such a strong command for the Children to Do THIS? What is so important about one day where all of the Children of Ishrael are without sin?<\/p>\n Before I get to the evidence of the need for this, a short review, or may be you have never heard or thought about this: Okay, Blessings and Curses, what has this to do with the World(those that are not Children of Jacob) and the World are a whole? So what Happens?<\/p>\n Deuteronomy 30<\/a>:\u201d1\u00a0And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt bethink thyself among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee, Of Verse \u201c8\u00a0And thou shalt return and hearken to the voice of the LORD, and do all His commandments which I command thee this day.\u201d<\/p>\n Leviticus 26<\/a>:39\u00a0And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. 40\u00a0And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their treachery which they committed against Me, and also that they have walked contrary unto Me. 41\u00a0I also will walk contrary unto them, and bring them into the land of their enemies; if then perchance their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then be paid the punishment of their iniquity;<\/p>\n In those two sections we are presented with the trouble being so great for us that WE(the Nation) return unto the GOD that has only wanted us to do what is Right according to HIS laws, wants to take us back. Wants to Bless Us, Protect Us and Treasure Us, for we will be then a LIGHT Unto the Nations(Exodus 19<\/a>:5\u00a0Now therefore, if ye will hearken unto My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be Mine own treasure from among all peoples; for all the earth is Mine; 6\u00a0and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. . . . .’). The result is that the Nations will Know the The LORD is GOD and we are the PROOF.<\/p>\n Bottom Line with the Atoning<\/a>.<\/p>\n It is one time during the Year that we might ALL be without sin and desiring to be CLOSE to OUR GOD. He waits for US and the world NEEDS US to return, so that We Might ALL Find Peace with OUR FATHER<\/a>. I can show you the way, if you want to know.<\/p>\n IT is to our benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISHRAEL\/ISRAEL, and to our pain and shame to do otherwise.<\/p>\n
\nAcknowledge, Regret, Repent! Atonement<\/a>, that before you go further, take the time now to read it and then proceed with this one.<\/p>\n
\n30\u00a0For on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins shall ye be clean before the LORD.
\n31\u00a0It is a sabbath of solemn rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; it is a statute for ever.
\n32\u00a0And the priest, who shall be anointed and who shall be consecrated to be priest in his father’s stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.
\n33\u00a0And he shall make atonement for the most holy place, and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.
\n34\u00a0And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for the children of Israel because of all their sins once in the year.’ And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.<\/p>\n
\n27\u00a0Howbeit on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; there shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
\n28\u00a0And ye shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God.
\n29\u00a0For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.
\n30\u00a0And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any manner of work in that same day, that soul will I destroy from among his people.
\n31\u00a0Ye shall do no manner of work; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
\n32\u00a0It shall be unto you a sabbath of solemn rest, and ye shall afflict your souls; in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye keep your sabbath.<\/p>\n
\n8\u00a0but ye shall present a burnt-offering unto the LORD for a sweet savour: one young bullock, one ram, seven he-lambs of the first year; they shall be unto you without blemish;
\n9\u00a0and their meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil, three tenth parts for the bullock, two tenth parts for the one ram,
\n10\u00a0a several tenth part for every lamb of the seven lambs;
\n11\u00a0one he-goat for a sin-offering; beside the sin-offering of atonement, and the continual burnt-offering, and the meal-offering thereof, and their drink-offerings.<\/p>\n
\nWhile Leviticus 26<\/a> and Deuteronomy 27 and 28<\/a> have the curses and the blessings. Curses if WE do not keep HIS LAW and Teachings and Blessings for Doing What HE SAID, whether or not you understand, you do what HE said.<\/p>\n
\nThis is what we were chosen to do: We Show That The LORD is GOD, and That HE IS!, to the whole world. We are building up to the Last Day<\/a>. The process laid out in Leviticus 26 is demonstrative of this building to an event. An example of this process is \u201cLeviticus 26<\/a>:18\u00a0And if ye will not yet for these things hearken unto Me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.\u201d. That seven times more, gets my attention, and when reading Leviticus 26 you will see that Punishment because of our actions(Sins) and then seven times more, punishment(correction) and HE Checks again and if we have not returned, then seven times more, . . . Until something happens.<\/p>\n
\n2\u00a0and shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and hearken to His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul;\u201d<\/p>\n
