So we see that, a holy day starts on the 15th(Feast of Matzo) a Shabbat dat of no work. The 15th day begins the Feast of Unleavened Bread for Seven Days, and the first day of the Feast of Matza is a Shabbat(a day of complete rest) and the seventh day of the Feast is a Shabbat(a day of complete rest), regardless of when the regular weekly Shabbat is, which is also a day of complete rest.<\/p>\n All of this is done so we will know, when the Feast of Harvest, that is the first-fruits of thy labours starts<\/p>\n Now to Leviticus 23<\/a>:3 Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation(\u05de\u05e7\u05e2\u05d0-\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9); ye shall do no manner of work; it is a sabbath unto the LORD in all your dwellings. {Standard definition of Shabbat}<\/p>\n \u201cLeviticus 23<\/a>:4 These are the appointed seasons of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their appointed season.\u201d (this tells how we will know when the next Feast is to be.)<\/p>\n Passover(Pesach) \u201cLeviticus 23<\/a>:5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk, is the LORD’S passover.\u201d(Pesach)<\/p>\n Unleavened Bread(Matzah) \u201cLeviticus 23:<\/a>6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD; seven days ye shall eat unleavened bread. How to know:<\/p>\n \u201cLeviticus 23<\/a>:10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring the sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest. So, this starts on the Sixteenth of the First Month.<\/p>\n Verse three identifies the weekly seventh day as: A Holy Convocation(\u05de\u05e7\u05e2\u05d0-\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9)<\/p>\n Verse 7 identifies a Holy Convocation (\u05de\u05b4\u05e7\u05b0\u05e8\u05b8\u05d0-\u05e7\u05b9\u05d3\u05b6\u05e9\u05c1), a non-work day for the 15th day of the First Month, so no work is allowed.<\/p>\n The first day that the Omer(sheaf offering is possible) is the 16th day or the day after the Holy Convocation(\u05de\u05e7\u05e2\u05d0-\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9). Counting a full seven weeks from that day, plus ONE.
