Who can you trust?
Deuteronomy 18: 13 Thou shalt be whole-hearted with the LORD thy God.
This seems a simple statement. We do not personally hear the LORD anymore. We either have writings, like the “Writings Of Moses” or the writings of a “Prophet” or you might just listen to a teacher of today telling us about what was written. However, we almost never Hear the Word Of GOD ourself.
So who do you trust?
Deuteronomy 18: 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one that useth divination, a soothsayer, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, 11 or a charmer, or one that consulteth a ghost or a familiar spirit, or a necromancer. 12 For whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto the LORD; and because of these abominations the LORD thy God is driving them out from before thee.
Prophets? Deuteronomy 18: 15 A prophet will the LORD thy God raise up unto thee, from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; 16 according to all that thou didst desire of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying: ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.’
18 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.
20 But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ 21 And if thou say in thy heart: ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?’
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken; the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him.
So if what the prophet says does not happen as stated, then he is not a prophet. Okay, I can go with that. Are there any other tests?
Deuteronomy 13: 2 If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams–and he give thee a sign or a wonder, 3 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee–saying: ‘Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them’; 4 thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God putteth you to proof, to know whether ye do love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
5 After the LORD your God shall ye walk, and Him shall ye fear, and His commandments shall ye keep, and unto His voice shall ye hearken, and Him shall ye serve, and unto Him shall ye cleave.
6 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken perversion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage, to draw thee aside out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.
Okay, let me see if I understand this. If a prophet shows up and what we seems to say happens, (a test of a prophet), but then gives instruction to change our worship away from the Living GOD of Our Fathers. Do Not Listen? Is that right? We are just dealing with prophet right now, so I will not continue with Deuteronomy 13. By all means you should read it later.
So, is there a Prophet to judge all other prophets by? Could another prophet come that changes the LAWS and TEACHINGS which The LORD, told Moses to WRITE?
Deuteronomy 34: 10 And there hath not arisen a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face; 11 in all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land; 12 and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
Great! But, did Moses then meet the above requirements? Did Moses say to follow any other way besides The LORD’s? NO. Did Moses say and it did not happen? No!
(Example of what Moses says happens: Numbers 16: 28 And Moses said: ‘Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works, and that I have not done them of mine own mind. 29 If these men die the common death of all men, and be visited after the visitation of all men, then the LORD hath not sent Me. 30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the ground open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down alive into the pit, then ye shall understand that these men have despised the LORD.’ 31 And it came to pass, as he made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground did cleave asunder that was under them. 32 And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 33 So they, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit; and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the assembly.)
So we can assume that Moses said that which The LORD desires. Are there examples of other Righteous Prophets?
“1 Kings 13: 3 And he gave a sign the same day saying: ‘This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken: Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.’ 4 And it came to pass, when the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Beth-el, that Jeroboam put forth his hand from the altar, saying: ‘Lay hold on him.’ And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back to him. 5 The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.”
“1 Kings 18: 22 Then said Elijah unto the people: ‘I, even I only, am left a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. 23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under; and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under. 24 And call ye on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God.’ And all the people answered and said: ‘It is well spoken.’ {Their’s does not work nest 6 verses} 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying: ‘Israel shall be thy name.’ 32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed. 33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid it on the wood. 34 And he said: ‘Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt-offering, and on the wood.’ And he said: ‘Do it the second time’; and they did it the second time. And he said: ‘Do it the third time’; and they did it the third time. 35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. 36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening offering, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said: ‘O LORD, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that Thou art God in Israel, and that I am Thy servant, and that I have done all these things at Thy word. 37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that Thou, LORD, art God, for Thou didst turn their heart backward.’ 38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt-offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said: ‘The LORD, He is God; the LORD, He is God.’ “
These are examples of Prophet of the Living GOD of Ishrael.
So, does the one you follow, perform in such power and glory? Can you even question your prophet’s words? Does your text speak according to the Word of The LORD, found in the Writings Of Moses? OR, do they not actually prophesy anything that can be tested and seen so that you can KNOW the Truth?
The is ONLY ONE GOD, Creator of the Heavens And the Earth. HIS word is LAW and Truth HIS WORD. HIS LAW NEVER CHANGES, HIS WORD NEVER FAILS. HE Annuls HIS Covenants(contracts) when HE Declares them VOID. See “I Will Break My Covenant!”
Can you Trust those who do not speak the Truth? How about those that say “You can not know the Truth!”? Can you trust them?
Can you trust any that say and it does not happen?
Can you trust any that declare this now and something opposite now?
Can you trust someone that has different rules for different people? Should the LAW not be the same for everyone? Should the Application of the LAW be the same for everyone?
There is only ONE GOD, The LIVING GOD of Abraham, GOD of Isaac, GOD of Jacob. HE had many prophets, Only ONE SET OF LAWS, and each prophet you are to judge based upon HIS LAWS.
It is Your soul that you risk.
Think about it. Choose wisely, for everything that is YOU, depends on it.
Is anyone listening? You still have breath and life, you can return and repair your deeds. You just need to Do It while you have time.
I can not save you, no one can., you must Return and do that which is Right.
I can show you the way, if you want to know.
IT is to our benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISHRAEL/ISRAEL, and to our pain and shame to do otherwise.
My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!(Isaiah 6: 9 And He said: ‘Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.’)
