My FATHER!

Why would anyone call THE LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL, Father?

What is a father? Yes, I understand that each of us has a father, but in relationship to GOD, what does that mean?

Clues:

Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

This would say that because GOD created us, then we are his children? Except that HE also created all of the animals, in the air on the ground or in the sea or under the ground, are they also HIS children.

There is are major differences:

They are made in pairs to they can increase in numbers.

Man was made LIKE GOD, a SINGLE.

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said: ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.’ So, the LORD has made something like HIMSELF and yet a small enough part of GOD is in man that man needs a help meet. A help meet? Please keep in mind what Adam’s job is: to name every thing. “Genesis 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them; and whatsoever the man would call every living creature, that was to be the name thereof.

So now the Help Meet:
Genesis 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from the man, made He a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And the man said: ‘This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’

It does not say that GOD breathed into them(creations other than man), it says that only of MAN. Does GOD then BREATH AIR? NO.

So what did GOD put in the dirt?

Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said: ‘My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for that he also is flesh; therefore shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.’

So according to that verse: THE ALMIGHTY PUT HIS SPIRIT into the dirt. What we call a soul is actually the SPIRIT of GOD, a piece of the ALIGHTY.

So man is like GOD because we have part of HIM in us?

Well, we can create life, but only because of this: The HELP MEET, when they become ONE FLESH, together they can create life. Only the MAN and HELP MEET(WOMAN) create life.

So while we are dirt(flesh) we are also Spirit Of GOD, a Living SOUL, not placed in anything else. For that SOUL we are HIS children!

Like children, we may miss behave or Honor our FATHER by keeping HIS Covenants(CONTRACTS) with us. And like a GREAT FATHER, HE gives us RULES and TEACHINGS so that we know what is expected. Along with those expectations are reward and punishment, but it is truly our decisions and actions that determine what we receive. A GREAT FATHER should always up-hold HIS WORD, so that we know who to trust.

Back to the evidence:

Exodus 4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh: Thus saith the LORD: Israel is My son, My first-born.

Isaiah 63:16 For Thou art our Father; for Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us; Thou, O LORD, art our Father, our Redeemer from everlasting is Thy name.

Isaiah 64:7 But now, O LORD, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our potter, and we all are the work of Thy hand.

Jeremiah 3:4 Didst thou not just now cry unto Me: ‘My father, Thou art the friend of my youth.

Jeremiah 3:19 But I said: ‘How would I put thee among the sons, and give thee a pleasant land, the goodliest heritage of the nations!’ And I said: ‘Thou shalt call Me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following Me.’

Context: [Jeremiah 3:14 Return, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am a lord unto you, and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion;
15 and I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
16 And it shall come to pass, when ye are multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more: The ark of the covenant of the LORD; neither shall it come to mind; neither shall they make mention of it; neither shall they miss it; neither shall it be made any more.
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem; neither shall they walk any more after the stubbornness of their evil heart.
18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.’
19 But I said: ‘How would I put thee among the sons, and give thee a pleasant land, the goodliest heritage of the nations!’ And I said: ‘Thou shalt call Me, My father; and shalt not turn away from following Me.’]

Jeremiah 31:6 For thus saith the LORD: sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout at the head of the nations; announce ye, praise ye, and say: ‘O LORD, save Thy people, The remnant of Israel.’
7 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together; a great company shall they return hither.
8 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them; I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble; for I am become a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.
Malachi 1:6 A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master; if then I be a father, where is My honour? and if I be a master, where is My fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise My name. And ye say: ‘Wherein have we despised Thy name?’

Malachi 2:9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept My ways, but have had respect of persons in the law.
10 Have we not all one father? Hath not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?

This is the evidence that THE LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL is OUR FATHER. Just not the father of the dirt.
