During our lives we will and have heard that phrase “Child of God” many times and from various sources. But, to quote from the “Princess Bride” movie:

The point is: We often use words and phrases which sound good, without thinking about the meaning or consequence of such words.
So let us look at the meaning of this “Child Of God”, for an understanding of what it means.
If You are a human, with a Soul(Spirit Of GOD), then you are a child of god, as “any sperm and egg can create a baby” so too, you are dirt and Spirit to create potential child. This means, that although everyone of us has the potential to BE a Child Of the Living GOD Of Ishrael, most will not become that child.
There are many reasons most will fail by rejecting(willful) or missing(lack other things like: desire, knowledge, lazy, don’t want to bother, . . . ) the opportunity to become a “Child Of GOD”. Here are a couple of examples:
1) Some just don’t accept the there is a CREATOR of the Heavens and the Earth.
2) Some just don’t care enough to even seek to know.
3) Many just do what they were told to do by a group of people( friends, relatives, school, church, religious leaders, magazines, newspaper, books, movies, . . . . ). They just follow along. Special answer for those: Isaiah 27:”10 For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation abandoned and forsaken, like the wilderness; there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. 11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding; therefore He that made them will not have compassion upon them, and He that formed them will not be gracious unto them.” A people without understanding. So here is a question for you. If you do not: believe; want to know, or are against there being a Creator; worshiping something else which is not The Living GOD Of Ishreal; are you HIS child?
Let us try this in human terms. Your father and mother are your father and mother. It does not matter whether you do what you are told, love them, respect them, care about them, honor them, none of that matters. They are your father and your mother, having given you that which caused your existence. Your mother even gave birth to you after a period of gestation. [No I am not considering the acts of man to circumvent the natural process.]
I know that there are many who can come up with excuses as to why they are the way they are. I tell you that: This life you have is your life, and only your choosing ground, where you get to select how you are going to End Up. It is your choice, which, the Living GOD Of Ishrael, gave you, by creating a place and a life from which you are required to choose, GOD ALMIGHTY or other. Your reward is based upon your choice and your actions.
So we will not fail to choose what we really are. The result of your choices and actions make you either; A Child Of GOD or not. Your choice, your outcome.
My opinion? My advice? If you don’t know the Father of Your Soul, seek HIM. You could alternately just, . . . . Moses wrote these Words from the FATHER. Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will hearken unto My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be Mine own treasure from among all peoples; for all the earth is Mine; 6 and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.’ {Ishrael! This is the definition of the Righteous of GOD, not those that struggle with god. IT is to your benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISHRAEL, and to your pain and shame to do otherwise.
If it is not already true, then My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!(Isaiah 6: 9 And He said: ‘Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.’)
My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!
