A response to: “Can man’s power of choice alter Divine destiny? Rabbi Yitzchak Botton.”
Divine destiny?? This is not in the Written Torah! This is not in the Tanakh.
The idea seems to be man made, because our High Holy Days liturgy declares that a determination of who is to die by: water, fire, old age, . . . . . is placed there by MAN. From a single entry: “Exodus 32:32 Yet now, if Thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray Thee, out of Thy book which Thou hast written.’ 33 And the LORD said unto Moses: ‘Whosoever hath sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book.”
From this phrase: “My Book” we have decided that it is your destiny. I tell you that it is “NOT YOUR DESTINY” written there. It is the LIFE of your SOUL, as ONE OF THE LORD’S CHILDREN. The moment you SIN, your name is removed, because of what YOU HAVE DONE.
Do you what to have your name in the BOOK? Stop doing that which is Against THE LORD OUR GOD and do that which is Righteous.
Righteous? Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will hearken unto My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be Mine own treasure from among all peoples; for all the earth is Mine; 6 and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.’
Deuteronomy 30:2 and shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and hearken to His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul; 3 that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the peoples, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. . . . . 8 And thou shalt return and hearken to the voice of the LORD, and do all His commandments which I command thee this day.
Direst to the Point is:
Ezekiel 18: 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die; the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father with him, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son with him; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21 But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all My statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 None of his transgressions that he hath committed shall be remembered against him; for his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD; and not rather that he should return from his ways, and live?
Warning!!! If you think you can become Righteous and then you can do evil , remember that that is how you get your name removed from the BOOK.
Ezekiel 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he hath done shall be remembered; for his trespass that he trespassed, and for his sin that he hath sinned, for them shall he die.
If you think this is something new from the LORD GOD, Creator Of The HEAVENS and The EARTH? Think again! What was learned by eating from the tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden? The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, of which if they eat, that day they would surely die. (SOUL removed from the BOOK.) “Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying: ‘Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.'”
It is the soul that is marked for death, by being removed from the BOOK.
Hint: THE LORD IS ALWAYS concerned about the LIFE OF YOUR SOUL(Spirit of GOD in the DIRT), we always think about the life of the body(dirt).
When we are only thinking about the dirt we miss the GREATEST BLESSING OF ALL, YOUR SOUL and the chance to be one of HIS CHILDREN.

IT is to your benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISHRAEL, and to your pain and shame to do otherwise.
If it is not already true, then My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!(Isaiah 6: 9 And He said: ‘Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.’)
My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!
