Credibility and the Truth

A news reporter/journalist, declares such and such, then gives her stated opinion about what should be done. Even going so far as to call for violence against certain groups of people. Others news services pick up the story and add their own embellishments and their opinions.

This is how almost every news service presents what they want you to believe. That you should only hear, feel and repeat what they give you to think and then the actions that you are to take. NO this is not a joke, nor is it funny. It is propaganda, and it is real in 2018.

So many reporter/journalist are angry that more people are not listening to them. Unless you are one of those that cannot think or reason at all, you know that they have zero credibility, so why should anyone listen? Credibility may not be the thing that crosses your mind, it maybe no truth; no believability or you are just totally feed up with the b.s.

This was an example of the need for credibility. Without credibility, which generates Trust, and Belief, why should anyone pay attention your words or your needs? This has been true since the begin of time. A lair, a prankster, or con-artist should not be trusted with anything. As a result, they lack community and maybe even friends.

What do you think or feel about the people you know to be liars in your life? How likely are you to trust or give to them?

With this in mind, now is a good time to think about the Written Torah. On simple read of these Five Books, one could assume that it is a good read. Containing heroes and villains along with a god who is always trying to get people to listen. It has been presented that these five books are written by different authors and assembled by a single editor. The reasons for these to down play the books, make them seem like there should be many justifications, but there is only one reason. Those stating these are against the Cause of these Five Books, The ALMIGHTY GOD..

A little deeper look at these Five Books, which can be read as a story of mankind, presented as a history lesson, where some people have a communal family relationship, that stick together even when all the members are not so pleasant. They have ups and downs, and the Creator selects one family as HIS own inheritance and gives them rules, laws, teachings and Covenants(contracts) to control them, or help them get along with each other. This is another way to view those Five Books, a story about man.

One more way to view the Five Books, which has only come to the front of my thinking(realization) recently. These Five Books and indeed most of the Tanakh are about the ALMIGHTY, Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. I say this, because I find that it is Also about HIS CREDIBILITY, along with the reason we should be diligently keeping HIS rules, laws, teachings and Covenants(contracts).

HIS Credibility?
Yes. We can not see HIM, save a possible vision created in our mind, none have seen HIM directly. Yes, I know that Moses was shown the back of the LORD. But, I believe that is only a vision for Moses to see.

Why?
Moses needed to know, to have a personal relationship with the GOD he was telling the people about. The ALMIGHTY is larger than the Universe as we know it, and we are on a small electron sized item in relationship to that Universe. If we stand beside the ocean, we see only a tiny piece of the body of water, not the whole ocean. So how could Moses SEE the BACK of the ALMIGHTY? “Exodus 33:19 And He said: ‘ I will make all My goodness pass before thee, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.’” So that is what HE will do.

This is what HE Does: “Exodus 34: 6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed: ‘The LORD, the LORD, God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth; 7 keeping mercy unto the thousandth generation, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and unto the fourth generation.’” Notice that is it the LORD that makes the declarations, not Moses. I say this because I have heard in many quarters that these are made by Moses, and they are not. It is the LORD who declares HIS Evidence, like Merciful and Gracious and Forgiving . . . . . These are the evidence of HIS GOODNESS(Kavod — כְּבֹדֶ{Honor}).

Those are some of the LORD’S Self Proclaimed Qualities. It would be good to notice also, that a proclamation happens before the LORD brings about what was Proclaimed. The statement of what will happen and then it happens. There is a two-fold reason for pointing this out. First, This is the process of declaring and then doing. A touch of Tanakh, “Isaiah 45:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done”. This declaration process is very important, in giving Credibility to The ALMIGHTY.

A piece of this can be seen in Isaiah 41:21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your reasons, saith the King of Jacob.
{Tell of the past what was declared and came to be.}
22 Let them bring them forth, and declare unto us the things that shall happen; the former things, what are they? Declare ye, that we may consider, and know the end of them; or announce to us things to come.
{Tell us the future, that you maybe know as gods.}
23 Declare the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods; yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
{There is Nothing there.}
24 Behold, ye are nothing, and your work a thing of nought; an abomination is he that chooseth you.
{Meaning that because the ALMIGHTY does these things, HE IS GOD. For no one else can do this.}[The Challenge Answered by None]

So what should we know from this type of study?

What kind of Power does this Creator show?

First in the beginning of the Written Torah we have a “How I created IT and WHY?” kind of start in Genesis. The Why is also as important as the how. Maybe even more so, for knowing the HE DID CREATE ALL , and can undo it as well, then I had to ask: Why HE DID IT? After all, we humans have done a very poor job of even trying to get it right according to HIS RULES. Actually, most of us don’t even try, and seemingly don’t care.

Demonstrations of: patience; mercy; truth; goodness; Forgiveness of Sin but not the removal of consequences; compassion; and after all most 6000 years, Long-Suffering; Goodness; . . . .

The ALMIGHTY uses the evidence in the Written Torah and the past, to declare why we should pay attention to HIS WORDS. Like in “Exodus 20: 2 I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. . . . “ Back ground info: We are standing(all of those that left Egypt three million plus people) at the base of Mt Horeb, and we hear these words.) I am the LORD THY GOD, –{I DID WHAT I SAID I WOULD DO-as Proof that I AM YOUR GOD, I kept the SIGN OF YOUR INHERETENCE OF THE LAND given to Abram Genesis 15 and other places. In short: 400 years, judgment of those served in bondage, great substance upon leaving . . . Even statements at the beginning of that story that happened at the end. The death of the first-born, learned of in Exodus 4:21-23, takes place in Exodus 12} Those around the Mountain saw and experienced the Egyptian redemption and the events leading up to this moment, are all witnesses.

Yet even with Moses, the LORD starts at the Burning Bush, sharing HIS Credentials. “Exodus 3:6 Moreover He said: ‘I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’” Why are they Credentials? Because they are the WITNESSES, that the LORD KEEPS HIS WORD to the Children Of Jacob and then to the WORLD. Yet we(Children of Jacob and Ishrael) are also the Witnesses, for we are still here on the earth, and none have been able to extinguish us from the earth, and those that tried are no more. Our very existence is proof that the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY IS. Yes, it maybe nice to be a Witness, but we are not the only witnesses. And, I only demonstrated one of the reasons that each and everyone of us is a viable witness for HIS Power, Credibility, Righteousness, Mercy, and wow there are really some many witnesses and Power, Virtues, Acts of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

This has been some of the evidence of the credibility of the LORD. By virtue of HIS Credibility, because HE KEEPS IS WORD, when HE Says anything, it is ALWAYS True.

DO you think that you would like that kind of credibility? That it is known, when you speak your word can be trusted? That you can be relied upon? That your words are always the truth? It can be if you just act according to the GOD Of Jacob, instructs us to do, you probably get to know what HE Wants and Says.

DO you think that the reporter/journalist should work toward that kind of credibility and trust? What kind of person do you or they need to be in order to earn that credibility and trust. They would need to put in basic old school journalism standards and verify information and its credibility? Only speak what you know is true and worth your life? Never say it if you have not done your home work, so that you know the truth before put it out?

We are out of time. According to the Tanakh and the Prophets, we are seeing the last events now.

IT is to our benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL, and to our pain and shame to do otherwise.

My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!(Isaiah 6: 9 And He said: ‘Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.’)
