Leaving Christianity and Finding the Truth ~ Public Group

James Jeffries I take other meaning from Leviticus 19:”17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbour, and not bear sin because of him.” and add Exodus 23:”4 If thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again”; “5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under its burden, thou shalt forbear to pass by him; thou shalt surely release it with him.”. From these I understand that: I or they my do something that hurts the other.

If hate is allowed to control you, how can you judge fairly anyones actions?  Maybe the other person(like Nineveh in Jonah) does not understand what they have done, tell them but do not hate them.

(Reference Ezekiel 3:17 ‘Son of man, I have appointed thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; and when thou shalt hear a word at My mouth, thou shalt give them warning from Me. 18 When I say unto the wicked: Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thy hand.)

Each of us from time to time need mercy and perhaps we do not understand what we have done, so we are to tell them. With Exodus we are shown that we are responsible for the welfare of our enemy, such that even an act of kindness may repair your heart and that of your enemy. If it does not seem good to your enemy, it was and is what we need from the LIVING GOD OF OUR FATHERS –mercy and teaching. Or maybe this is easier to understand, How do you want GOD to treat you?

We desire to be a holy nation, a nation of priests, we must earn that gift and not take it lightly.
