How Is Physical Exercise Like Being Righteous?

Newton’s laws of motion
pl n
1. (General Physics) three laws of mechanics describing the motion of a body. The first law states that abody remains at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by a force. The second lawstates that a body’s rate of change of momentum is proportional to the force causing it. The third lawstates that when a force acts on a body due to another body, then an equal and opposite force actssimultaneously on that body

To paraphrase Newton, a body at rest tends to stay at rest until a force acts upon the body. This is like a “couch potato”(a person sits and watches television or such most of the time) which will find it more difficult to exercise if the current status has existed for a length of time. The long the time for this status more difficult to change the status.

An Example: A teenager that does not know the laws defining good and evil, will most likely continue to decline in moral and ethical terms as a “I’m getting mine!”attitude, becuase this is the easiest way to exisit. This path of animalistic behaviour is observable and has been observed by researchers. Yet, it is the common practice these days to disavow the need for ethics and morals by sociality and even encourage such behaviour. It is very unlikely that the teen or adult living this life style will be able to break the behaviour without great effort. The first item needed to change is: the desire to change.

Out couch potatoes can change, if and when they decide they must change something. A walk around the block could be a place to start, yet to be effective the walk must be done more often than not. Seven days in a week so 4 days of walks is a great place to start. Remember this is not enough, it is only a start which will take real effort from the person making the change. The task becomes easier with each repeat of the action, so an increase in the effort is needed to sustain momentum. Like a rocket lifting of the ground, just breaking contact with the earth is not enough, continued energy must be expended even though gravity is getting to be less and distance from the earth is increasing. If you have not attained the desired effect, more effort is required. If you have someone encouraging you, great! The change is still your change and not anyone else’s change, because it is still up to you to continue and do better.

For the sinning person that does not know, it is not an excuse acceptable before THE ALMIGHTY. So there is no excuse, as you or they have a mind, feel pain, feel anguish caused by others and can decide this is not right to do. The feeling or thought or intention is only a starting place. It is the first pressure that one can place upon himself, that of knowing how an situation feels can teach you. Example: “Exodus 22:20 And a stranger shalt thou not wrong, neither shalt thou oppress him; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.” We are given examples of a felling we know to sharpen our awareness of how something feels others, and this is part of the Covenant.

In order to be a better person, a righteous person, you must know the definitions and laws of righteousness. So, we are told to: “Deuteronomy 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; 7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children,. . . .” In this we are to KNOW and Teach our Children.

Why? Because it creates a foundation upon which to build a life. We first must have the LAW, GOD’S LAW, which gives us laws that do not change. Laws that if everyone lived by them, then there would be no need to seek heaven, for it would be here among us. I digress.

We need the LAW either from personal observations of cause and effect; or, our parents told/showed us; or we go to a house of worship that teaches GOD’s LAWS alone. Each of these has difficulty, for you must seek the truth of what you are being taught. Ask Questions. Make sure you understand, the LAWS of GOD and how they effect you.

It is however, difficult to get started and takes your will power to get going. Just like getting off the couch to go for a walk or run, when starting out you must use will power to get started. When you are started it gets easier and easier to maintain forward movement.

So to in keeping GOD’S LAWS, or making Righteous efforts, everyone you perform makes the next that much easier to do, but if you stop doing and sit on the couch or sin, the same happens. It becomes easier to stay put or just not be any good what so ever.

Know that your reward from GOD will come from what you do, not what you think you would like to do.
Get off the couch and be Righteous, you can do it!!
