There is a story about two pockets each with a note.

I use this entry “One of the more famous oral teachings attributed to Rabbi Simcha Bunim of Peschischa goes as follows:
Everyone must have two pockets, with a note in each pocket, so that he or she can reach into the one or the other, depending on the need. When feeling lowly and depressed, discouraged or disconsolate, one should reach into the right pocket, and, there, find the words: “For my sake was the world created.”
But when feeling high and mighty one should reach into the left pocket, and find the words: “I am but dust and ashes.”[1 ]
“I have known about this story for a few years now, and agree as far as the author went. However, I believe that is “More” to this and “Less”.
The “Less” –For the sake of My soul, the Heavens and the Earth were Created, without my soul I am nothing but dust.
The “More” –This is the same as “Less”, but with the explanation of how I got “For the sake of My Soul, the Heavens and the Earth were Created”.
From my writings on “The Soul”:
“The Spirit of GOD placed in the dirt, became a living Soul. A soul that is not of this earth nor even this universe, but from the Creator of ALL hence a spark of GOD in every person.(Could this be what is spoken of in Genesis 1:26 And God said: ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, . . . .’?)This spark is required to choose to be either –For GOD or Against GOD. Each action of that person is recorded by the soul.
This SOUL is always known to the CREATOR OF THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH.
Only you can damage your soul (actions against GOD or SIN = blotted out of the book) Only the CREATOR can remove the marks(forgiven is the first step to being put in the book.)
Not even Moses could gain forgiveness by offering to have his name removed for the book the GOD is keeping. Exodus 32:32 Yet now, if Thou wilt forgive their sin–; and if not, blot me, I pray Thee, out of Thy book which Thou hast written. Exodus 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses: ‘Whosoever hath sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My book.’ “
In short, a Soul, Even Each Soul was created to choose then to do: GOD or not god, Good or not good; Life or Death; of the SOUL.
The next question usually is: “Why?” which is paired with “Why not make them all good?”
In My Writing: “My Father” and “Our Father”
I show that we are different from the rest of creation by our FATHER, in that HE placed in Man a piece of HIS Spirit, not air or breath, But THE SPIRIT OF GOD. Just like we create in a related process, our children; in a very small way. It is that SOUL that is HIS valued potential Child(what we call Righteous).
***Please keep in mind, while I am giving only a couple of verses in the references, please read the whole chapter and then some maybe so in the chapter before and the chapter after, where ever the context continues, so that you have more potential to understand what The LORD GOD left for us is learn, from HIS Prophets at HIS WORD.***
It is those of HIS Children which will be in the World to come. Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

Ezekiel 43:
7 And He said unto me: ‘Son of man, this is the place of My throne, and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever; and the house of Israel shall no more defile My holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their harlotry, and by the carcasses of their kings in their high places;
8 in their setting of their threshold by My threshold, and their door-post beside My door-post, and there was but the wall between Me and them; and they have defiled My holy name by their abominations which they have committed; wherefore I have consumed them in Mine anger.
The Heavens and the Earth were created by The LORD OUR GOD, so that HIS Children
Would have the opportunity and teaching to become worthy of being HIS CHILDREN. The SOUL is HIS CHILD.
What if you don’t know or don’t care about this soul and The Creator of The HEAVENS And The EARH? There is an comment in prophecy about that. Are you one of those people?
{Isaiah 27:11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding; therefore He that made them will not have compassion upon them, and He that formed them will not be gracious unto them.}
If you do not care, tend to or choose wisely, you will lose the most valuable possession in the Universe, – – – That of Your SOUL, for without it you are Truly Just Dust.
You can return. “The Return!”
IT is to our benefit to HEARKEN until the LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL, and to our pain and shame to do otherwise.
My prayer is that The LORD grant you eyes that see, ears that hear and an understanding heart, then you return unto HIM soon!(Isaiah 6: 9 And He said: ‘Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.’)
