Proph·e·cy (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prophecy)
noun \ˈprä-fə-sē\
: a statement that something will happen in the future
: the power or ability to know what will happen in the future

Written in the Writings Of Moses(Torah) is what we find the definition as:

Deuteronomy 18:18) I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him. . . . .

A False Prophet:
Deuteronomy 13:2) If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams–and he give thee a sign or a wonder, 3) and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto thee–saying: ‘Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them’; 4) thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God putteth you to proof, to know whether ye do love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

To be brief, I learn from the TORAH, that a valid prophet: Speaks what the LORD has commanded him to speak; declares only the signs which the LORD will make TRUE; and does not make statements contradicting what the LORD has declared. (Example of prophet which was sent to King Jeroboam, who did and did not follow the LORD’s Instructions, and the old prophet that tricked the younger. . . . .)

Know This, for your very existence depends on it: “Only you can save your soul!”

The hardest thing for a person to accept is that: “Only you can save your soul!”. We want someone else to do the work of saving us or telling us that they can do what you are unwilling to do. Because of this, we have religions.

I ask you: “What is the one constant theme in religion?”, answer: “Somebody will save you, by being the intermediary between you and god. Who every the ‘Middle Men'(MM) is/are and whatever god it is that will accept MM to save you.” I find no evidence that the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL, demands or will accept any such MM and no religions either. You either do what is right by HIM or you don’t.

From what will these ‘MM’ save you? You don’t know and you are not alone in that. Actually, it is to the MM’s benefit if you do not know or understand.

On the reverse side. If you know and understand the events which are coming together, for example: a prophecy from the Creator Of The Heavens And The Earth, something like . . . . A Flood that will destroy all life. Well almost all life. What can you change?

Here are some other questions:
1) What could you possible say or do, so that your neighbors will save themselves?
2) Will anyone LISTEN?
3) Will anyone Consider?

IN Genesis 19 is the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, in which THE ALMIGHTY sends two angels(on the witness of two or more equals the truth) to take Lot and his family out of harms way, in that the cities of the plain were to be destroyed.

Genesis 19:14) And Lot went out, and spoke unto his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said: ‘Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy the city.’ But he seemed unto his sons-in-law as one that jested. 15) And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying: ‘Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters that are here; lest thou be swept away in the iniquity of the city.’ 16) But he lingered; and the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him. And they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

Lot seemed to want others to come out, even his sons-in-law, but none came. Even his wife would not take heed, and died.

In the Book of Jonah, the people of Nineveh were told they were going to be destroyed by GOD because they were so evil, but they changed, they repented and even the animals were made to repent. The result is that they saved themselves for awhile. But, sometime later GOD Destroyed them as stated, because they returned to their evil. This demonstrates two things: 1) You can change yourself and prevent your bad outcome. 2) The Lord speaks only the TRUTH of everything HE SAYS, and IT ALWAYS HAPPENS AS STATED. Usually not in the time we think it should happen, but it always happens as stated.

So where does that leave us? The LIVING GOD OF ISRAEL IS GOD, ONLY ONE GOD. Every word of GOD is true and has or will happen. You can not change someone else, only yourself. You really cannot prevent the trouble for everyone but, you can DEMONSTRATE that which is RIGHT to do by your actions. Because, you are seen, maybe some will change themselves because you showed them how and what to do.

Shalom,

Yaakov

P.S.  I forgot to explain something. Getting your sins forgiven does not get you a positive soul. I mean to say, your’s and my job is to “Choose GOD”  that is the purpose of your soul. Either you are for GOD or you are against. Hence, when you are forgiven of your sins, the consequences of your actions are still in force and you have no positive actions for your soul. You are a Zero with a rolling deficit which builds causes repercussions in the world. You must: “Ezekiel 18:21 But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all My statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.” as one place this is stated.

This is very important to understand, just receiving forgiveness is not enough, you must act righteously.

Yaakov
